W0000T. I just learned C4D. Time to apply to Ubisoft, Jagex, DreamWorks, Lucas Films, Pixar, Atari, etc.

Its not about what you use its about creating good work and being able to solve problems. you can create any tool in cd4 by using mocha and expresso. You can do about 10 times as much stuff in the same time with Cinema than you can with Maya 3d max, and the Mograph module is simply outstanding for everything.
If you were to be a designer rather than an animator (create the boards from the start, heavy dose of Photoshop, good design skills, etc) then you can use frickin’ Carrara if you’re good enough. It won’t matter. One of the best designers out there (Gil Haslam of Troika) uses Zaxwerks Invigorator and Photoshop to do amazing things–you’ve seen his work all over ESPN if you watch TV at all.
So its not about knowing what program and what button to push its talent my friend
I agree, it’s the artist not the tools. However, i started off with C4D and became a MAX user through work, I can assure you the modelling tools in C4D are lacking compared to, well, any of the others. I can model much faster in MAX
oh i know modeling tools in cd4 are ok but nuting compare to max or modo or xsi. but then does max have mograph no but does cd4 have kick ass particles like max and xsi no learn more then one tool its helps
C4D character anim’ tools are still lacking (cactus dans stuff helps) feel Maxon are pushing the mograph tools more and more and are falling behind in other areas.
