  1. crap!! Bunkspeed Shot and Keyshot destroy this. Million times faster and you can rotate the camera realtime.

    • This is not a “render engine” like keyshot or bunkspeed shot or vray, mental ray.. This is a post production software.. You cant compare those with this one. Google is your friend before commenting something you dont know or just read the info of the software..
      Anyway thanks great release :)

      • likewise, you have no idea what the f*** you are talking about either, google is your friend too. Keyshot and Bunspeed shot are not just renderers, you can drag and drop materials onto your scene, 2 just like this apps just like Colimo. Except you can move in shot and keyshot the camera can be adjusted and its a lot faster. I have used all 3 how about you genius?

        • yea we know you can change your materials in a render software.. changing materials doesnt make a software post production tool.. huh.. they are real time render engines.. not post production tools.. do you think you can change your materials in your vray or mental ray renders in bunkspeed or keyshot? no? because they render their own materials.. not other render engine’s stuff.. colimo exports your render pass as which materials effects other in pixels.. no matter which render engine you have use.. no matter which features u have used like norma maps, displacement maps, transluency materials, ies lights.. you can play with your renders in colimo.. colimo does not render your 3d objects.. it renders your 2d pixels.. hope this info is enough for you.. if we gonna play this like your game unreal engine beats all cuz you can change your materials and even shot your materials while jumping lol.. and yep i “used and understand” with all softwares you mention too.. unlike you..

          • ignore him,he’s clearly an idiot who has no grasp on how powerful this is for post production changes. For our studio, even vraywire masks and photoshop provide an invaluable method to shave re-rendering time, this is the supercharged version with post uwv mapping, omg.

  2. We need the 3DMax Script which is blocked off to Non-Customers. Otherwise this program is useless. Might look into keyshot…

  3. don’t abuse this. its not shit. it has reason. plus, its not comparable to hypershot or anything else.
    its meant towards, architectural visualizers, where you are already rendering heavy images with plenty of time. then just one small texture / light change, you have to render again..

  6. Tested and working for Max2011 x64.
    Read instructions on the manual, you have to install the mental ray shader (even if you don’t use MR), put script in scripts folder, launch max, then “run script” max2colimo. Then pick materials by selecting object OR add directly object (but not the 2 at same time). Select some lights too (but not all, i don’t understand why. Select the viewport you want to render, then click the Run button after choosing an output path. After render passes, open colimo, open your output file, then select object/materials with list, and edit them, put textures on, plays with light intensity/color, you’ll see instantly your changes.
    Tested also with Final Render, working not very well, render, gi, reflexions, etc. is ok but FR-architectural materials doesn’t output mask, so you can’t change anything on them after in colimo. I think we can do it manually, but i tested all this in a quarter hour, so…
    Very good software, need just a better integration with other render engines, even if it’s possible manually…
    Read the manual !
