What’s New in finalRender 3.5 and 3.5 SE SP1

* Harmonics GI: network rendering isolated and solved, massive speed improvements for blend or mix materials, lots of fine tuning and enhancements.
* thinkingParticles instances and opacities: issues isolated and solved.
* “Frame Finished” hang issue tracked down and fixed.
* finalRender Scanline core renderer: enhanced, tolerating better defective meshes.
* 2Sided material: issues with Harmonics-GI isolated and fixed.
* fR-Layer material: issue isolated and fixed.
* Light Sources/Rectangular Light: issues and random artifacting isolated and fixed.
* fR-Light material: possible issue when using multi-sub materials isolated and fixed, considerable speed improvements achieved.
* Alpha Channel: improvements made.
* fR-Proxy objects: rendering and other issues isolated and fixed.
* fR-Architecture material: problems when using “visible area lights cause no highlights” isolated and fixed.
* Anaglyph Stereo: rendering output enhanced.
* Stereo Camera: only left/right not working when MAX Common “save file” unchecked has been fixed.

crashes with finaltoon 3.5.
without 3.5 se1 works fine.
Thanks. Appreciate it. FR 3.5 was not very stable on max 2009. I was using it in a production right now and the material editor seemed very unstable with fr materials and multi-sub materials. Did they solve that too is sp1?
If you have problems with 3.5 and material editor crashs (seem stable now with sp1) you have to uncheck the locker in render panel>common>Assign Renderer>Material editor so it use Scanline in place of FR for material editor.
It was less buggy using quadro driver with FR for material editor checked (if you can softmod your card to quadro).
Right amerija, crashing for me too with Final toon now ! (tested with just a sphere, crash…) Too bad!!!! :(
In other hand it seems stable, no crash these two days.
Read cebas forum and you will known what’s going on :).
i have serius problem with ip-clamp…on window7Ultimate x64 and max2011…allways failed the reloaded…

I’m running the same configuration as well and don’t have any problems. So it’s not a general issue with IPclamp.
What means fail to reload? Does the service refuse to start or don’t the plugins run?
